Richard Fricks, Broker, TRLP, REALTOR®, ABR®, SFR, e-Pro
The "alphabet soup" behind Richard's name is an indication of his commitment to the real estate industry. Those accreditations did not come easily and are a result of countless classroom hours and money that Richard has invested in order to stay on top in the Real Estate Profession and for the benefit of his customers and clients. In almost ten years as a real estate professional, Richard has helped many people successfully buy and sell properties.
As a child Richard's family moved frequently but eventually settled down in Satellite Beach, Florida where he attended High school and Junior College. His career in the high tech industry required several relocations to, Alabama, Colorado, New Mexico and finally to Garland, Texas in 1986.
Richard resides in Garland and is married to Jennie. They have four children and seven grand children. Richard has been very active in community service having served four years as City Councilman for the City of Garland and on the Board of Adjustment for the City of Lucas. Richard and his wife, Jennie have fostered over 75 children.
Richard has specialized in nearly all types of real estate: residential, commercial, investment and land. He is a Broker Associate and Realtor® which identifies a real estate professional who is a member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of REALTORS® (NAR) and subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics. To assist clients in today's economy, Richard has earned the SFR designation (Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource) from NAR, signifying his knowledge in helping with Short Sales and Foreclosures. He is an ABR®, Accredited Buyer Representative, a designation designed for real estate buyer agents who focus on working directly with buyer-clients, and an e-Pro® certified agent, a certification specifically designed to provide real estate professionals with the technology tools needed to assist consumers in the purchase or sale of a home. Richard is a 2011 graduate of the Texas REALTOR Leadership Program.
Richard´s interest in real estate has led him to be active with the Lake Cities Association of Realtors of which he has served on the Board of Directors and is currently serving as President of the Board of Directors. He is also on the board of Directors for Collin County Association of Realtors. From January 2007 to October of 2009, and again in 2010 and January of 2012 he managed the Keller Williams office, managing as many as 75 agents. In October 2009 and 2012 he resumed his career in full time real estate, leveraging his management and training to providing the high level of service and proffesionalism to his clients. He is a recent graduate of the Texas Real Estate Leadership Program. He serves as a committee member for two committees at the Texas Association of Realtors.
